DESIGNED AT WOLFGANG TSCHAPELLER ZT GMBH

CENTRE FOR PROMOTION OF SCIENCE

The ‘Centre for Promotion of Sciences’ in Belgrade will be floating high above the ground. It operates on three levels. First, on the urban level it will be an optimistic landmark situated along one of the main thoroughfares of Belgrade. Second, Block 39 will be a sign, canopy and a portico. Third, as the building’s main function is to promote the sciences, it represents a vision of technology and construction. The architectural language of the center displays a strong link to technology and its structural principles. A special role is given to the underside of the center with its mirroring qualities to reflect all the movement below. Visitors enter the center penetrating the reflective surface.
